By Yana Jokyani

November – the month of the transitioning period between fall and winter, is as dynamic as the people born in it . We usually put more effort into the outfits we wear in these colder months; t hat are not going to melt away in the violence of the dog day . Also, more things are required to cover up your skin, unlike in summer, when even natural tanning is not enough to flaunt your successful beach babe days. But, i t’s a confusing window of windy mornings and might – burn – you afternoons. Hot chocolate nights are on the brink, but so are the November breeze and an iced tea thirst seizures after noon. Hence, it’s important to have some flexible pieces in your wardrobe.

Fur Trim Y2K Cardigan

Some people call it the Bella Hadid Y2K sweater . We all know Y2K has been the ruling planet for quite a while now. Apart from this cardigan ticking off the aesthetic boxes, it’s not too warm, but full – sleeved, which is warm enough to keep you company. It also transi tions seamlessly from day to night. Lip colors can help you change your look from a cute brunch girlie to a gangster wife night out

Mutated Sweaters – Vests, Turtlenecks, and Fur Coats (Sleeveless)

Layering is a respected art fo rm. Why do you think fashion experts love winter fashion more than summer fashion? You get to play with more pieces in the former one! Go from a basic white t – shirt in May, to a basic white t – shirt with a vintage sweater vest in November. Or a beautiful sl eeveless turtleneck paired with a skirt. And for something more over – the – top, a sleeveless fur coat over your outfit. Making you feel like Moscow in Mumbai for people like us who like to romanticize everything.

Color and Pattern Transitions

This is the perfect time to shift your wardrobe from cinnamon everything to more ebony and ivory. Go neutral. While you can still keep good maroons and dark browns for your winter dailys, neutral colors like grey, black and white sta rt taking the lead. Also, the patterns change. Quirky sweaters with coffee or pumpkin drawings take a back seat, along with flannels. While textures like nylon and cashmere start resurfacing.

Blazers blazing

Before all the thermal ammun ition starts coming out of the back, the transitioning period, where it’s not as harshly cold yet, coats and puffer jackets needn’t spring back right away. The blazers do the job. It’s classy and covers up the skin. They also look good with pleated skirts. Adds a flair!

Cargo Craze

While cargo skirts invaded Instagram this summer, be on the lookout for cargo pants this season. Baddies in low – waisted baggies. They have also started making cargo sweatpants. Warm, comfortable, and efficient. We all know women are given pockets as scarcely as rights. Load up on that cargo, we say!
