Adipurush is one of the much-awaited and talked about films in Indian cinema. It has been creating buzz ever since its inception. Last year the makers announced the project and revealed the star cast.
This mega-budget film brings together Prabhas and Kriti Sanon in lead roles on the silver screen. The shooting for Adipurush started back in February in Mumbai. But due to a sudden surge in the number of Coronavirus cases and unfortunate massive fire breakage on the set, the makers delayed the shoot. However, according to the latest buzz, the makers are looking forward, resuming the shoot with the star cast. The makers have also erected a new set for the same in Mumbai.
As the number of covid-19 cases has eased down, team Adipurush is back in action. As per the source quoted by a leading daily, makers have erected a new set at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai. The sources said, “The team had finished 30 percent of the shoot before starting the new schedule. There was a massive loss due to the fire. Since it is a period drama, a lot of costumes were destroyed. However, the costume design team has been working hard to remake the costumes and match the schedule. A massive chroma set has been erected in Mehboob studios.”
Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon have already started shooting for their part from the beginning of this month. Revealing this, the source added, “Saif and Kriti have given their fresh dates and they have been shooting for the film from the beginning of this month. Prabhas on the other hand is yet to join the cast.”
Prabhas who is yet to join the team will start shooting for Adipurush tentatively after he wraps up with the shoot of Radhe Shyam in Hyderabad.
“Prabhas recently gave a clap for his upcoming film which is tentatively titled ‘Project K’ which also features Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. The actor is finishing his other project Radhe Shyam in Hyderabad before joining the cast of Adiprusuh next month. On the other hand, Saif is planning to wrap up the major portion of his part before he jets off to Europe for Vikram Vedha remake”, shares the source.
Helmed by Om Raut, the movie also stars Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh in pivotal roles. This mega-budget film is based on the most loved epic drama in Indian mythology, Ramayana. While Prabhas will portray Adipurush, Kriti Sanon will be seen playing Sita in the film. Reportedly Saif and Prabhas have undergone a massive physical transformation as they will together bring on the table some of the high octane action scenes.
Bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair under T- Series, the movie has a whopping budget of Rs. 350-400 crore with high-quality visual effects. This 3D extravaganza will be shot in different languages including Telugu and Hindi while it will be dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and several other foreign languages. Adipurush is set to get a theatrical release on August 9, 2022.
