Bell Bottom is a much-awaited film of the year. On Wednesday, the makers dropped the trailer of this upcoming spy thriller and elevated the peak of excitement among the audience.
The trailer is laced with larger-than-life actions and exceptional cinematography with Akshay Kumar’s actions personal at it best. But what actually fascinated fans was unrecognizable Lara Dutta painting the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the movie. She underwent a massive transformation for the role that left everyone amazed.
But this journey hasn’t been easy for the actress. It took long tireless hours and relentless efforts of makeup artists to bring the character to life on the screen with extreme perfection. Lara Dutta used prosthetics to slip under the skin of this iconic character. Taking to social media, the actress expressed her ebullience sharing some glimpses of her transformation journey.
Fans were left impressed seeing her hard work and genuine efforts. Social media was soon flooded with admiration comments from every corner.
Lara Dutta’s Bell Bottom co-star Akshay Kumar too took a moment and praised the actress. Taking to Instagram space he shared the same video and captioned, “What bringing a character to life looks like @larabhupathi you’ve nailed it and how in #BellBottom! Catch it on the big screen, also in 3D, on 19th August.”
Lara Dutta responded to the laudation from Akshay Kumar for acknowledging her hard work. Expressing her gratitude she wrote, “Thank you Akki for the never ending support and encouragement!! I would never have been able to pull this off if it wasn’t in your faith in me to be able to do so.”
Undoubtedly, former Miss Universe Lara Dutta left no stone unturned to bring this historic character on the table with extreme perfection and authenticity. Not only Lara, but entire team of Bell Bottom has tremendously performed in this spy thriller that sets in the 80s.
Helmed by Ranjit Tiwari, the film brings together Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta, Huma Qureshi and Vaani Kapoor. Akshay Kumar will seen in the role of a RAW agent in the film while Lara Dutta paints the onscreen role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Bell Bottom is slated to hit theatres on August 19.
