This week, Amazon Prime Video presents diverse and engaging International and Indian titles across various genres and languages.

Hold onto your seats! Starting 14th May Amazon Original Series The Last Hour, the first-ever Indian supernatural crime thriller by Amazon Prime Video will be available to stream. Set up in a small Himalayan town, the series explores the story of a Shaman (Healer), who joins a newly transferred cop to track down a mysterious killer.

Created, written, and produced by Amit Kumar and Anupama Minz, and executive produced by Amit Kumar and Academy Award and four-time BAFTA award winner, Asif KapadiaThe Last Hour features a stellar cast including Sanjay KapoorShahana GoswamiKarma TakapaShaylee KrishenRaima SenRobin Tamang and Mandakini Goswami in pivotal roles.

Viewers can catch the much-awaited digital premier of Superstar Dhanush’s Tamil action drama, Karnan on the streaming platform starting 13th May. The funniest ‘Baniya’, comedian Gaurav Gupta is back with his new stand-up special, Market Down Hai, the latest addition to the exciting line-up of Amazon Funnies. With his witty humor, Gaurav Gupta is all set to take us on a hilarious ride where he will be sharing his hilarious experiences as a parent, husband, son, a Delhiite, and above all a Baniya! The show premieres on 14th May.

Starting 11th May, Prime members can enjoy streaming recently released and Oscar award-winning Korean film Minari on the streaming service.

Directed by Lee Isaac ChungMinari is a semi-autobiographical drama about a family of Korean immigrants trying to realize their American dream in the 1980s. The film made a buzz at Oscars 2021 after it was nominated in six different categories including the Best Picture and Best Director. Out of all Youn Yuh-Jung who plays Soon-ja, the warm grandmother, bagged the trophy for the Best Supporting Actress, becoming the first Korean actress to receive the honor.

Starting 14th May, audiences can tune into riveting historical drama  – International Amazon Original The Underground Railroad, based on author Colson Whitehead’s novel. Directed by Barry Jenkins, it features talented actors Thuso MbeduChase Dillon, and Joel Edgerton. A young woman named Cora makes an amazing discovery during her attempt to break free from slavery in the deep south.

Amazon Prime Video brings a promising dose of comedy and laughter with the entertaining and hilarious International Amazon Original Series starlight from the streets of Spain LOL: Si te ríes, pierdes. The show is available on the streaming platform starting 14th May. This unscripted show revolves around the concept of ten professional comedians locked down in one house for six consecutive hours and there are only two goals – to make the house laugh and to not laugh or even smile themselves. The last one standing with a straight face wins the battle!

Get ready to dive into the DC universe with Wonder Woman 1984 starting 15th May. The action-adventure features  Gal GadotChris PineKristen Wiig and is directed by Patty Jenkins. This 2020 American fantasy flick is based on the DC comic character Wonder Woman.

Horror feature film Host will be making its India debut on Amazon Prime Video on 7th May. The English-language film, which is being brought to the country by PictureWorks, will release across four languages, including a subsequent release later in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. This spine-chiller is directed by Rob Savage and is shot completely during the lockdown in 2020 with all the actors operating their own cameras.

Starting 12th May, audiences can binge-watch all the seasons of the highly successful American superhero television series The Flash. Developed by Greg BerlantiAndrew Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns, the series is based on the Barry Allen incarnation of DC Comics character The Flash. Watch how Barry Allen aka Grant Gustin fights criminals with his superhuman abilities in the latest seasons of The Flash premiering on Amazon Prime Video.
