uring a recent announcement, the creators disclosed Amitabh Bachchan’s portrayal of Ashwatthama in “Kalki 2989 AD.” A teaser promo aired on Star Sports showcased Bachchan draped in yellow attire, engaged in prayer before a Shiva linga within a cavernous setting. When questioned by a child about his identity, Bachchan’s character responds, “I am Guru Drona’s son, Ashwatthama, who has awaited the Avatar’s arrival since ancient times.”

On Sunday, Amitabh Bachchan shared insights about his involvement in the film on his X account. Reflecting on his experience, he expressed, “T 4988 – Working on this project has been unlike any other. On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri, the makers of “Kalki 2898 AD” unveiled an intriguing new poster, disclosing Prabhas’s character name as Bhairava. This highly anticipated sci-fi film features Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan in prominent roles.
