Conflicts, betrayals and secrets: The trailer of Netflix’s Class is all about turning up the heat

“Class”, the Indian adaptation of smash hit Spanish series “Elite”, will debut on Netflix on February 3, the streaming service announced today. Directed by Ashim Ahluwalia, the young adult series is set at a posh school called Hampton International where three new students from a starkly different background enrol for a new term and shake up the status quo.

The high-paced trailer showcases the mishaps and mayhem that ensues when paths intertwine, ideologies clash and sentiments run high at the school. And as these worlds collide, there is a murder in the school, which further deepens the conflicts and betrayals.

Watch the trailer here:

“Class” features a dynamic, young ensemble cast that includes Gurfateh Pirzada, Anjali Sivaraman, Ayesha Kanga, Chayan Chopra, Chintan Rachchh, Cwaayal Singh, Madhyama Segal, Moses Koul, Naina Bhan, Piyush Khati and Zeyn Shaw.

Speaking about the trailer launch, director Ashim Ahluwalia said, “I was keen to make something real and intense, something that charts the heightened emotions of teenage life. I also wanted to explore class, something we engage with daily but rarely see authentically depicted on screen…

Set in a world where the elite have all that they could wish for, besides a clear conscience, and those less fortunate dangerously navigate their way through, Class is a wild and volatile affair between the two.”

“Class” will stream on Netflix from February 3.
