Darling Trailer Launch : Alia Bhatt’s Grey Comedy Leaves Fans Impressed

Alia Bhatt always drops the jaws through her new avatar. Again, she will be the rock in the movie ‘Darlings’. The actress’s quirkiness alongside her dark and dangerous look will screw up the audience. After the outstanding response to the teaser and the first look of ‘Darlings’, the trailer of the much anticipated dark comedy is currently being released. It is about two and half minute trailer. The film delves into the lives of a resilient mother-daughter, fighting for love and finding their footing in Mumbai whilst also battling their demons.

The trailer of this dark comedy unveiled on Monday and it is trending even a day later. Holding on with the trends, Delhi Police took to their Twitter handle and posted a still from the film and shared an important message.

“Aware and vigilant citizens when asked to share their OTP,” read the caption on the tweet.

Alia took to Instagram to post the trailer of ‘Darlings.’ She captioned it:
“My first film as a producer!!! So excited nervous thrilled emotional to share it
with you!!! DARLINGS TRAILER OUT NOW!”

The trailer narrates the tale of Badrunissa (Badru) Shaikh, played by Alia Bhatt.
One day Vijay Verma as Hamza Sheikh, left his wife, Badru. For this reason,
Badru and her mother, played by Shefali Shah, launched a complaint at the local
police station. The other sequence reveals that Badru’s husband, Hamza, is not
missing. Badru herself, along with her mother, kidnapped Hamza. Now, the
mother-daughter duo (Badru and her mother) tortures Hamza taking the help of
Zulfi, played by Roshan Matthew. In a sequence, Badru provides the food, fixed up
with a rat killer, to Hamza. She even injects her husband to make him unconscious
during Hamza’s investigation.
 
Another sequence discovers that Hamza Shaikh did not respect his wifey, Badru.
He was used to doing domestic violence against her wife. Now Badru is taking her
revenge, stating: “Fielding bohot ho gayi, ab batting chalu!” The end part of the
trailer depicts that, fronted by police officers Badru and her mother are forcing
Zulfi to confess his crime if he has abducted Hamza. Let’s see how Hamza gets
released from the torturing of the mother-daughter duo.

However, from actress Neha Dhupia to Mouni Roy, all have showered their
heartiest message on Alia Bhatt’s post. Even artist Soni Razdan mentioned Alia,
“Congratulations, my little producer so so proud of you!!” Fans are spamming in
the comment box, sending wow, fire, and heart emojis.

Talking about her character Alia shared, “Darlings is special; the moment I read the script, I wanted to be a part of the film not only as an actor but to play a larger role in bringing such unique stories to the viewers. I can’t hold back my excitement as we unveil the hard work of some amazing co-actors, partner producers, and Jasmeet. It’s an engaging tale that we all can’t wait to bring you through Netflix.” 

Darlings is produced by Gauri Khan, Alia Bhatt and Gaurav Verma and marks the feature film debut for director Jasmeet K Reen. With an exceptionally versatile cast including Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew in lead roles, Darlings is a dark comedy entertainer brimming with secrets, mystery and drama. It will be premiered on the August 5, 2022 exclusively on Netflix.
