This pose, she explained, offers numerous benefits such as calming the nervous system, boosting immune health, and aiding in detoxification.

Deepika specifically addressed the benefits of Viparita Karani for pregnant women, suggesting the use of cushions or bolsters for support. It helps relieve muscle and joint aches, reduces swelling in ankles and feet, and alleviates pressure on the lower back and hips. This ancient yoga posture, she emphasized, provides significant relief amidst the physical changes and demands of pregnancy.

Acknowledging the importance of safety, Deepika advised individuals with specific health conditions like glaucoma or high blood pressure to consult with a yoga instructor before attempting such poses.
