The excitement surrounding Sekhar Kammula’s upcoming film, Kubera, has reached new heights with the revelation that lead actors Dhanush and Nagarjuna are prepared to deliver breathtaking stunts that will leave audiences on the edge of their seats.
National Award-winning filmmaker Sekhar Kammula is currently shooting his next film, Kubera, featuring Dhanush and Nagarjuna. Set against the backdrop of specially erected sets in Hyderabad, the film has entered a pivotal phase where action sequences are taking center stage. Both Dhanush and Nagarjuna, renowned for their versatility and dedication to their craft, are diving headfirst into the challenge of portraying their characters with intensity and vigor.
A press note from the makers of Kubera reveals that Dhanush and Nagarjuna, along with the rest of the cast, are participating in the current filming schedule. “Both Dhanush and Nagarjuna will perform some breathtaking stunts during this phase. The film will showcase them in contrasting roles, as highlighted in their respective first-look posters,” the note states. Additionally, the film’s team shared a behind-the-scenes picture featuring Sekhar Kammula discussing a shot with his crew.
Kubera, named after the revered god of wealth, promises to be a cinematic treat that blends drama, action, and social commentary seamlessly. In March, the first look of Dhanush from Kubera was released, featuring him in tattered clothes, sporting a smile amidst his unkempt appearance, complete with long hair and a beard. Sekhar Kammula presents an interesting contrast by portraying Dhanush in this way, given that Kubera is revered as the god of wealth. Behind him, a mural depicts Lord Shiva accepting alms from Goddess Annapurna. Meanwhile, the first looks of Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh are still under wraps.
Kubera is jointly produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd. The film also features Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh, who are participating in the current schedule. With the majority of the talkie portions already completed, the social drama has entered the post-production phase. Directed by Sekhar Kammula, Kubera is a multilingual project being shot simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, with music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
