The upcoming project of National Award-winning director Sekhar Kammula was officially initiated in Hyderabad through a traditional pooja ceremony on Thursday. The yet-to-be-named multi-starrer is set to feature Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna in prominent roles.
The project’s details are being kept under wraps by the creators, but production for the film resumed on Wednesday. Dhanush, on his initial day, filmed pivotal scenes, and a well-structured schedule for this month is in place. Produced under Sree Venkateshwara Cinemas by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, the film is being presented by Sonali Narang, adding to the air of anticipation surrounding its development.
In attendance at the pooja ceremony were Dhanush, Sekhar, the producers, and a select few. The project has enlisted Niketh Bommi as its cinematographer. While the makers have disclosed minimal details, the complete cast and crew are yet to be unveiled. Scheduled for release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, the film continues to build anticipation with its multi-lingual approach. For the time being, the creators have temporarily named the project #DNS, drawing inspiration from the initials of the director and the male leads.
Dhanush’s Captain Miller made its Tamil debut on January 12 and is slated to grace Telugu screens on January 25. Beyond his acting endeavors, the versatile actor is rekindling his passion for writing and directing as he embarks on his 50th project, currently in the midst of shooting. Nagarjuna’s film Naa Saami Ranga, which premiered on January 14, has been well-received. Despite the positive response, the actor has not disclosed details about his next projects. On the other hand, Rashmika, known for her role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, has a busy schedule ahead. She is set to appear in Rainbow and The Girlfriend in Telugu, and Chaava in Hindi. Additionally, she will reprise her character Srivalli in Sukumar’s much-anticipated Pushpa: The Rule.
