FDCI X Lakme Fashion Week starts with a bang. First day of this show brought together of various designers under one umbrella who flaunt their exquisite design. Interestingly , The ‘Mishru’ label by Swapna Anumolu showcased vibrant collections that have been much loved by women searching for dramatic, celebratory creations. This season Mishru revealed “Form and Feeling”, which was a beautiful homage to festive wear. The colours and forms that took inspiration from nature, memories and feelings.
Mrunal Thakur made a showstopping entry wearing a stunning, rich magenta Lehenga, choli and dupatta trio, heavily encrusted with tonal 3D floral appliqués, which will be adored by brides.
There was a distinct surreal feeling of fantasy that enveloped the very natural, organic patterns. These were imaginatively scaled, distorted and styled to present a line of garments that brought forth a sense of immense glamour.
Mishru’s bridal and formal collection moved graceful through a huge expo of lehengas, cholis, dupattas, saris, gowns, cocktail wear, along with fusion classics. Rich, vibrant hues with the most lavish embellishments that highlighted the silhouettes.
Men’s wear were restricted to formal kurtas, bundgala jacket and bundies worn with narrow pants in shades of white, neon green and black.
