Popular streaming platform Netflix, announced 16 films as part of its licensed Telugu content slate for 2023. The films will find a home on Netflix after they complete their theatrical run. Making this announcement, Netflix took to social media to provide a glimpse to the 16 titles that were coming on the service. The exciting line-up will feature films such as Butta Bomma, Amigos, Buddy, Tillu Square and more.
Here are five Telugu Movies that are set to release on Netflix in 2023 that one should not miss watching:
Dasara
Written and directed by debutant Srikanth Odela, a protégé of Sukumar, Dasara is a period-action drama. Featuring Natural Star Nani and Keerthy Suresh, film will hit the screens on 30th March 2023 in major Indian languages followed by an OTT release. Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banner of Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Cinemas the movie has Samuthirakani, Zarina Wahab, and Sai Kumar in prominent roles.
Kartikeya8
Actor Kartikeya Gummakonda’s upcoming film, tentatively titled #Kartikeya8, is rumoured to be an action drama and is in association with UV Creations. Debutant Prashanth Reddy has written and directing the project, and more details will be out soon.
SSMB 28
Telugu superstar, Mahesh Babu, is set to reunite with celebrated filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas for the third time, for his much-awaited 28th film in the Telugu film industry. The movie, which has been tentatively titled SSMB 28, is set to be a commercial entertainer and is currently in the final stages of its shooting. The much-awaited project features popular actress Pooja Hegde as the female lead.
18 Pages
18 Pages, written by well-known director Sukumar and directed by Palnati Surya Pratap, tells the story of a romance drama with a hint of mystery in which two characters fall in love without having met. The film brings together Nikhil Siddhartha and Anupama Parameswaran after Karthikeya 2 and places them in a contemporary but nostalgia-laced set up.
Bhola Shankar
Bhola Shankar is a remake version of Tamil movie Vedalam and it is action drama movie directed by Meher Ramesh. The movie casts Chiranjeevi, Keerthi Suresh and Tamannaah Bhatia are in the lead roles along with Raghu Babu, Rao Ramesh, Murli Sharma, Ravishankar P and many others are seen in supporting roles. The film is all set to hit the theatres on April 14, 2023, in Telugu followed by an OTT release on Netflix.
