Hrithik Roshan’s Smoking Struggle After Fighter’s Body Transformations

Hrithik Roshan revealed that he underwent three distinct body transformations for his role in Fighter during a recent conversation with Film Companion. He shared a unique celebration that took an unexpected turn after completing the perfect body shots for the aerial action entertainer.

Upon achieving this milestone, Hrithik disclosed that he decided to smoke cigarettes as a form of celebration. However, the celebratory moment turned into an unexpected disaster when it led to a spike in his heartbeat. The actor humorously termed the incident as a disaster.

Discussing the challenges faced during the transformation for Fighter, Hrithik expressed, “It was incredibly demanding. I had to film three consecutive songs while undergoing the transformation, leaving me with no energy, just running on fumes. Once the day arrived, and the body shots were finally done, I felt a sense of happiness and relief. However, no indulgence seemed satisfying. I tried gajar ka halwa, ice cream—there was no planned reward. My focus was solely on being in this Fighter flight mode and accomplishing the task at hand.”

Faced with the dilemma of what to do after achieving his transformative feat, Hrithik candidly admitted, “I was like, ‘What do I do? What do I do?’. In a moment of impulse, I picked up a cigarette and started smoking. Delving into the unknown consequences became a lesson itself, as within one week, my resting heart rate soared from 45 to 75. It was detrimental to my health, prompting me to quit. It turned out to be a disaster. While we meticulously plan, schedule, and brainstorm for the journey towards our goals, we often overlook the aftermath of victory, emphasizing the need for careful planning in every phase.”

Featuring Hrithik as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, also known as Patty, Fighter boasts a stellar cast including Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the film has garnered stellar reviews and positive word of mouth from the audience. Produced by Viacom18 Studios in collaboration with Marflix Pictures, Fighter promises an engaging cinematic experience.
