January has witnessed a plethora of shows release on streaming platforms and most of it has engaged audiences worldwide. With viewers becoming increasingly language agnostic owing to dubbing and subtitling of international shows popular for high-quality storytelling and production, stories have now become universal with the innate ability to transcend boundaries.

Koala Man (Disney+ Hotstar)
Koala Man follows a family father who lives a not-so-secret identity as the titular hero who possesses a burning passion to snuff out petty crime. Starring Sarah Snook, Michael Snook, Hugh Jackman and others, the eight-episode animated series is often entertaining and will stream on Disney+ Hotstar in India.
Hunters S2 (Amazon Prime Video)
It’s been a long time coming but Hunters season 2 is finally here and set to bring this pulpy crime drama to an epic conclusion. Executive produced by Jordan Peele, the show follows a group of Nazi hunters operating out of New York City in the 1970s as they seek to prevent fascism taking root once more.
The first season ended up revealing that both Adolf Hitler (Udo Kier) and his wife Eva Braun (Lena Olin) are still alive. But it’s only a matter of time until they cross paths with the ragtag group of Nazi fighters.
Crossfire (Lionsgate Play)
To save her marriage from falling apart, Jo goes on vacation with her family to the Barranco Tropical, a resort hotel in the Canary Islands. There, they are soon caught in a fight for survival when their hotel is attacked by a group of gunmen.
Starring Keeley Hawes, Lee Ingleby, and others the series is directed by Tessa Hoffe and will stream on Lionsgate Play in India.
Shrinking (Apple TV+)
Set to release on January 27, Shrinking is a new comedy series that stars Harrison Ford and Jason Segel. The show was created by Ted Lasso co-creator Bill Lawrence, Roy Kent actor and writer Brett Goldstein, and Jason Segel. The series follows Segel’s grieving therapist as he goes rogue and gets brutally honest with his clients. As he shakes up other people’s lives, he finds himself facing some drastic changes of his own.
