It is a effervescent occasion that honors the relationship bond between a son-in-law (Jamai) and his wife’s parents. The occasion celebrates the affection, care and love from the wife’s parents towards the son-in-law typically involving an extensive traditional Bengali feast with various delicacies and sweets.
