On Saturday, Kartik Aaryan took to Instagram to reveal that he has commenced filming for “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,” the highly anticipated third installment of the beloved horror franchise.
“Starting The Biggest Film Of My Career Today #Shubharambh #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 ,” the actor captioned a photo of himself offering prayers at home.
Instantly, fans flooded the comments section with their well wishes for the actor. “Wishing you all the best! You’re going to nail it,” wrote one enthusiastic supporter.
Earlier, T-Series had revealed that the film would commence shooting in March. Accompanied by a candid snapshot of Kartik engaged in discussion with director Anees Bazmee and producer Bhushan Kumar, the production house announced, “March marks the beginning of filming for the third installment of your beloved horror-comedy franchise.”
Kartik is set to reprise his iconic role as Rooh Baba from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in the upcoming third installment. Joining him are Triptii Dimri and Vidya Balan, who will play pivotal characters in the film.
The sequel, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, unfolded a tale of a vengeful spirit seeking retribution. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film hit theaters on May 20, 2022, swiftly climbing the charts to become one of the top-grossing hits of the year. With Bazmee once again at the helm, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is purportedly slated for a Diwali release this year. Its predecessor, starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan, centered around the latter’s character grappling with Dissociative Identity Disorder, misconstrued by her kin as a supernatural possession by a wrathful spirit.
