Lakmé Fashion Week, Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) and Rise Worldwide have stand up to several initiatives and spotlighting the Sustainable Fashion and its effect on the nature. This season, the leading forces of Beauty &, Fashion will be commemorating the sustainable innovations in fashion at Sustainable Fashion Day on 13th October at Lakme Fashion Week X FDCI at the Jio World Convention Centre.
Talking about the show Sumati Mattu, Head of Innovations, Lakmé said, “As part of Unilever’s Positive Beauty manifesto, taking care of the planet is a fundamental part of the sustainability mission at Lakmé. Beauty and fashion are an integral part of contemporary lifestyles. On the other hand the Chairman of Fashion Design Council Of India, Sunil Sethi, stated that over the last decade, FDCI has been committed to carving out a greener future for the Indian Fashion Industry. The upcoming edition of fashion week marks our return to Mumbai after 16 years and we are thrilled to celebrate sustainable fashion day this season. We have an array of bright designers that are working with some of the leading brands in green fashion and we are extremely excited to see their collections materialize on the runway.
