Reminiscing about the film and her on-screen character, she shared, “I can’t believe it’s been 12 years since Love Aaj Kal already! Meera, I believe, was simply beautiful; inside out. A character many related to at the time. Just reminiscing about all those months we spent filming in Delhi and London, brings a smile to my face.”
Love Aaj Kal was directed by Imtiaz Ali and marked his first-ever collaboration with the actress. It brought together Saif Ali Khan and Deepika in lead. Audiences were delighted to witness such a charming and fresh onscreen duo on the big screen.
Bankrolled by Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan, the movie was a take on modern-day relationships. The film portrayed Deepika as the free-spirited Meera who enjoys every bit of life. Her charismatic performance received much appreciation from fans and is still fresh in the minds of the audience.
