Oppenheimer Triumphs: Christopher Nolan Takes Best Director at Oscars 2024

The 96th Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, unfolded in Los Angeles on Sunday. Christopher Nolan’s biopic drama, “Oppenheimer,” emerged as the evening’s big winner, securing seven Oscars, notably including Best Picture. The film, spearheaded by Cillian Murphy, had been a frontrunner with an impressive 13 nominations. Alongside its Best Picture triumph, “Oppenheimer” also clinched victories for Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, and Best Original Score. Among the other notable winners were “Barbie,” “Poor Things,” and “The Zone of Interest.”
