OTT releases this week : Top 6 must-watch shows and movies!

Weekends are for relaxing, for sleeping late, eating and also for catching up on your film watching. From Mumbai Dairies 2 to Gadar 2 to Loki Season 2, a number of movies and web shows are releasing on OTT. So this weekend  you will be in a dilemma deciding on what show you will watch.

Have a look at these titles-

Gadar 2 : This Sunny Deol starrer, Gadar 2 is one of the biggest box office releases of 2023. This film is a sequel  to the 2001 film Gadar Ek Prem Katha. In Gadar 2, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel once again perform as Tara Singh and Sakeena. Set in 1971, the film revolves around the story of Tara Singh, who crosses the border in an attempt to rescue his son who has been confined in Pakistan.

 OMG 2: This Akshay Kumar starrer is now set for its streaming release on Netflix on October 8, 2023. Directed by Amit Rai, OMG 2 boasts of a stellar star cast comprising of  Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam. The movie weaves humour and thought-provoking themes into an unforgettable cinematic experience. In OMG 2, Pankaj Tripathi is a devotee of Lord Shiva and Akshay Kumar is the messenger of Lord Shiva. And Yami Gautam plays a lawyer in this film.

Insidious: The Red Door: Prepare yourself for a spine-chilling experience as Patrick Wilson, a renowned actor, returns with his latest film, “Insidious: The Red Door”. This film marks the fifth instalment of the Insidious franchise. Patrick Wilson plays the role of Josh Lambert. The story picks up from where “Insidious 2” left off, with the Red Demon wreaking havoc in the lives of Josh and his son Dalton. Brace yourself for an utterly terrifying cinematic experience.

Mumbai Diaries Season 2: The second season begins months after the events of season one. The staff of Bombay General Hospital confront a new set of challenges brought about by a day of torrential rains and the devastation that follows.  Created and directed by Nikkhil Advani, the medical drama is produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani of Emmay Entertainment. The series brings back the highly versatile star cast from the previous season. The cast includes Konkona Sen Sharma, Mohit Raina, Tina DesaiShreya DhanwantharySatyajeet Dubey, Natasha Bharadwaj. The new cast members include Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Riddhi Dogra.

Loki Season 2: Loki Season 2 deals with the aftermath of the shocking Season one finale where Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul with the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and previous characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess a free will and glorious purpose.

Marvel Studios’ “Loki” Season 2 stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice, along with Jonathan Majors, Ke Huy Quan and Owen Wilson. Marvel Studios’ “Loki” Season 2 launches exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar on 6th October in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and English.

Khufiya: Vishal Bharadwaj associates with Tabu again for Khufiya. With a bond that has matured over the years, Tabu and Vishal Bhardwaj  promise to take viewers on yet another journey, this time full of espionage and spies.

The story is about Krishna Mehra (Tabu), an operative officer at the Research & Analysis Wing. She embarks on a mission to identify and uncover a traitor who is leaking India’s defence secrets. The key roles are played by Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, Ashish Vidyarthi, Atul Kulkarni.
