Akshay Kumar is on roll. He is hopping from one project to another and wrapping up his schedules. He is also among the very few actors who have worked even in the pandemic restrictions. Following the same, the actor has now wrapped up the Mumbai schedule of the much-anticipated movie ‘Raksha Bandhan.’
The actor has been on cloud nine ever since the inception of the film. The shoot for this movie went on floors back in June.
During this period, Akshay Kumar never missed a chance to praise the team of Raksha Bandhan. After relentlessly shooting for the film for around 2 months, the team has now called a wrap for its Mumbai schedule. He shared the news with his extended family on social media and penned a heartfelt note with some stills from the set.
Taking to Instagram space, he walked down the lane of memories and dropped some beautiful stills from the set. In the first photo, Akshay is seen walking down a street with Aanand while the second one had the actor-director duo posing with Bhumi on a blue activa.
In the caption, he penned a message expressing his gratitude towards the entire team including director Anand L Rai and co-star Bhumi Pedneker.
“I’m already missing walking down these streets of Chandni Chowk. Even though it was a make-believe set…you made it look so real, take a bow @sumitbasu62. My wonderful co-star @bhumipednekar, thank you for providing the right balance with your splendid talent. And @aanandlrai sir…what can I say about you, besides that you’re a wizard and today as we wrap up the Mumbai schedule of #RakshaBandhan, I know I’m leaving the set a better actor,” he captioned.

Helmed by Anand L Rai, the movie marks the second collaboration between Bhumi Pedneker and Akshay Kumar after Toilet: Ek Prem Katha that released back in 2017. Reportedly, the makers erected a grand set in Mumbai to shoot the movie. Bankrolled by Zee Studios, Colour Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films, the story is written by Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon. ‘Raksha Bandhan’ revolves around the love, bonding and attachment between brother-sister. Earlier, Akshay Kumar has dedicated the movie to his sister, Alka Hiranandani.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar has a host of interesting projects. The actor is looking forward to the release of much awaited movie ‘Bell Bottom’. The movie stars Huma Qureshi, Vaani Kapoor and Lara Dutta along with Akshay Kumar. Bachchan Pandey, Atrangi Re, Sooryavanshi and Ram setu are some biggies next in his kitty.
