The last few days have been exceedingly distressing for Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her entire family. Post the arrest of producer Raj Kundra in the alleged pornography case, social media has been typically harsh in their judgment, false accusations, and trolls.

The actress who has been keeping a low profile so far finally broke her silence and took to her Instagram to address the incessant trolls.

She talked about the hardships that her family faced and how challenging the last few days were for her. “Yes! The past few days have been challenging, on every front. There have been a lot of rumors and accusations. A lot of unwarranted aspersions on me cast by the media and (not so) well-wishers as well. A lot of trolling/questions posed… not only to me but also to my family.” She wrote

She further added that she does not want to comment on this subject and requested people to refrain from posting false quotes and statements in her name.

She stated, “MY STAND… I HAVE NOT COMMENTED YET and will continue to refrain from doing so on this case as it is subjudice, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf. Reiterating my philosophy of, as a celebrity “Never complain, never explain”. All I will say is, as it’s an ongoing investigation, I have full faith in the Mumbai Police & the Indian judiciary.”

We all have witnessed how certain sections of netizens and trollers have been brutal towards her family. Shilpa Shetty rightly pointed out that it’s important to let the judiciary take the course of its activities instead of putting her family, her innocent children, and herself through unnecessary media trials.

She said “As a family, we are taking recourse to all our available legal remedies. But, till then I humbly request you – especially as a MOTHER – to respect our privacy for my children’s sake and request you to refrain from commenting on half-baked information without verifying the veracity of the same.

I am a proud law-abiding Indian citizen and a hardworking professional for the last 29 years. People have put their faith in ME & I’ve never let anyone down. So, most importantly, I request you to respect my family’s and ‘my right’ to privacy in these times. We don’t deserve a media trial. Please let the law take its course.”

The actress signed off on a hopeful note and wrote “Satyameva Jayate”

Raj Kundra was arrested from his Mumbai home on July 19 for allegedly creating and streaming pornographic videos through his mobile streaming apps. Mumbai Police also confirmed that they found certain evidence that points out he was the ’key conspirator’ in this case.
