Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi come back to the Indian cinema after a decade with his upcoming release Gandhi Godse: Ek Yudh. The trailer of this film was released on Wednesday. Featuring Deepak Antani as Gandhi and Chinmay Mandlekar as Nathuram Godse, the trailer poses the question “what would have happened if Gandhi survived the assassination?”
Set in early post-independence India of 1947-48, it further goes on to showcase the ideological war between Gandhi and Godse and the repercussions of their decisions. The film also stars Arif Zakariya, Pawan Chopra and newcomers Tanisha Santoshi and Anuj Saini. The music of the film is helmed by AR Rahman.

This movie will mark Rajkumar Santoshi’s comeback to the silver-screen after his romantic comedy ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’ in 2013. Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh will be in theatres on January 26.
