Renowned director Sujoy Ghosh, known for his enigmatic storytelling, is back with an intriguing and spine-chilling crime thriller titled “Jaane Jaan.” The film stars Kareena Kapoor as a single mother, Vijay Varma as a detective, and Jaideep Ahlawat in a never-before-seen role. The story unfolds in the chilly and pine-covered town of Kalimpong, focusing on the murder of Kareena’s ex-husband.
The trailer begins with Maya, portrayed by Kareena Kapoor Khan, concealing a secret from her neighbor Naren, played by Jaideep Ahlawat. Karan, portrayed by Vijay Varma, arrives in Kalimpong to investigate the case, with Maya as his prime suspect. Now, Maya must ensure that her secrets remain hidden from these two men. The film is an official adaptation of the Japanese novel “Devotion of Suspect X” by Keigo Higashino. It marks Kareena Kapoor’s debut in the OTT space and is scheduled for release on September 21.
