Tamannaah Bhatia Transforms into ‘Shiva Shakthi’ for “Odela 2” Sequel

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has been cast to play the lead role in director Sampath Nandi’s upcoming film “Odela 2,” the sequel to his 2022 hit “Odela Railway Station.” The first look of Tamannaah as Shiva Shakthi was unveiled on Friday, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri.

Tamannaah took to Instagram and other social media platforms to unveil her captivating first-look as Shiva Shakthi. Alongside the image, she shared, “#FirstlookOdela2. I’m delighted to reveal this on the auspicious day of Maha Shivaratri. Har Har Mahadev! Happy Maha Shivaratri. (sic)” In this transformative portrayal, she embodies a naga sadhu, donning thick locks of hair and wielding a damarukam in one hand and a staff in the other. Her forehead adorned with a saffron bindi, she walks the ghats of Kashi, captured in a moment of fervent prayer with her eyes closed.

“Odela 2,” following the footsteps of its precursor, is helmed by Ashok Teja and produced by Sampath Nandi. Recently announced, the film commenced shooting in Kashi. D Madhu is backing the project under Madhu Creations, while Sampath Nandi is producing under Sampath Nandi Teamworks. “Odela 2” delves into the essence of the village, its rich culture, heritage, and age-old traditions. At its core, the narrative revolves around the village’s guardian, Odela Mallanna Swamy, who shields it from malevolent forces.

The 2022 flick “Odela Railway Station,” available on Aha, featured Hebah Patel as Radha, Pujita Ponnada as Spoorthi, Vasishta N Simha as Tirupati, Radha’s husband, and Sai Ronak as IPS officer Anudeep. The storyline revolved around a string of murders of married women in a village named Odela, inspired by real-life events.
