Disney+ Hotstar has revealed that Part 2 of Sushmita Sen’s crime drama series, Aarya Season 3, is scheduled to premiere on February 9. The streaming platform unveiled a teaser showcasing a battle-worn Aarya Sareen preparing for the ‘final attack,’ or ‘antim vaar.’
The teaser opens with Sushmita Sen’s character, Aarya, being shot, offering glimpses of Sushmita portraying her intense and formidable character and teasing scenes from the upcoming episodes. In a gripping voiceover, the actress reflects on baring her claws one final time before her last breath.
The teaser unveils the second part of the season titled ‘Antim Vaar’ and hints that Season 3 Part 2 marks the inception of the series’ conclusion. The makers captioned their post on YouTube and social media platforms with the line, “Before taking my last breath, I will surely unleash my claws one final time.”
Co-created by Ram Madhvani and Sandeep Modi, the show is an adaptation of the Dutch drama Penoza, which enjoyed a five-season run. While teasers hint at Season 3 concluding the show, it remains uncertain if subsequent seasons will follow.
The initial four-episode part of Season 3 premiered on November 3, releasing all episodes simultaneously on Disney+Hotstar. The second part is slated to drop on the platform next month, offering all episodes at once. “Aarya” marked Sushmita’s return to acting in 2020. Following this, she also starred in the series “Taali,” based on the life of transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant.
