In a previously released teaser, Ajay Devgn’s character is introduced amidst the backdrop of a lively street football game. As the ball careens towards him, he skillfully intercepts it, seamlessly evading an oncoming tram, before expertly returning the ball to the children with a professional kick, showcasing his prowess and passion for the game.
Under the direction of Amit Ravindernath Sharma and backed by co-producers Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios, “Maidaan” pays homage to the glorious era of Indian football. Ajay Devgn steps into the shoes of the iconic coach Syed Abdul Rahim, hailed as the architect of Indian football’s rise. Alongside Devgn, the film features a talented ensemble including Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh, promising a compelling portrayal of this historic period.
