Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, the celebrated Bollywood duo, are rumored to be expecting their first child, as per reports from The Week. Allegedly, Deepika is currently in her second trimester. Speculations about Deepika’s pregnancy arose after she was seen concealing her midriff at the 77th BAFTA red carpet event.
In a recent interview with Vogue Singapore, Deepika Padukone was questioned about her aspirations for motherhood. Responding positively, she expressed, “Without a doubt. Ranveer and I adore children. We eagerly anticipate the moment when we can begin our own family journey.”
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone exchanged vows on November 14, 2018, at the picturesque Lake Como in Italy, following a six-year courtship. Their love story began on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s romantic epic Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. Subsequently, they shared the screen in other Bhansali ventures such as Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. Last November, the couple commemorated their fifth wedding anniversary with a special celebration in Belgium.
Deepika Padukone recently appeared in the high-flying action movie Fighter, co-starring Hrithik Roshan and directed by Siddharth Anand. Her upcoming project is the sci-fi action thriller Kalki 2898 AD, opposite Prabhas, directed by Nag Ashwin. This eagerly awaited film, featuring Amitabh Bachchan as well, is scheduled for release on May 9, 2024.
On the other hand, Ranveer Singh is set to reprise his iconic role as Simmba in Rohit Shetty’s much-anticipated cop drama, Singham Again. Joining him in this star-studded cast are Deepika Padukone, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor. Additionally, Ranveer is gearing up to headline Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3, slated for release in 2025.
