Released by the creators on Monday, the teaser for “Murder Mubarak,” spanning one minute and 27 seconds, unveils potential murder suspects through Pankaj’s compelling voiceover. Pankaj introduces Sara as the sophisticated south Delhi princess, Vijay as the heartbroken lover, and Karishma as the ‘dream girl’ reminiscent of classic suspense films—all while attempting to unravel the mystery behind the murderer.
The complexity intensifies with the inclusion of Dimple Kapadia’s eccentric artist and Sanjay Kapoor’s character, who boasts a royal connection. Tisca Chopra’s gossipmonger and Suhail Nayyar’s party animal bring the intriguing lineup of suspects to its full extent.
Closing the teaser, Pankaj announces, “Murder Mubarak,” unveiling the film’s title. During this revelation, he narrates the intriguing concept of a murderer possibly camouflaging themselves in plain sight and deriving pleasure from their accomplishment.
Helmed by Homi Adajania and produced by Maddock Films, “Murder Mubarak” is an on-screen interpretation of Anuja Chauhan’s 2021 novel, “Club You to Death.”
Commenting on the ensemble cast, the director remarked, “Murder Mubarak is a cinematic amalgamation featuring actors adored across various genres and generations. Trust me, each one of them has done a fabulous job in breathing life into these eccentric characters.”
Marking Karishma’s comeback to the big screen since her 2012 film “Dangerous Ishhq,” “Murder Mubarak” signifies her return to movies. While Karishma had previously ventured into the OTT space with her debut web series “Mentalhood” in 2020, she has been absent from any OTT content thereafter.
