Maharani Reviews : Huma Qureshi Earns Acclaim for her Riveting Portrayal of Rani Bharti

This week, Sony LIV released the third season of the web series Maharani, featuring Huma Qureshi and Amit Sial in lead roles. Centered around Huma’s portrayal of Rani Bharati and set in Bihar, the series delves into the intricacies of the state’s political landscape, drawing inspiration from real-life events. Netizens had a mixed bag of reactions, praising the lead actors’ performances while also voicing critiques about the altered focus of the storyline.

A fan on X remarked that it’s uncommon for Indian series to explore politics, applauding the OTT platform for backing a third season of the show. They expressed, “Creating a series on politics is rare for obvious reasons. Yet, #Maharani, now in season 3 remains consistently excellent. Kudos to @SonyLIV for keeping this engaging narrative alive.” Another fan observed that while Maharani Season3 maintained the pacing of its predecessors, there was a noticeable shift in tone, transitioning from political focus to a revenge-driven narrative. They shared, “#MaharaniSeason3 Review: Maintaining the vibe and pacing of its previous seasons, #HumaQureshi as Rani is just. The character of Gauri Babu is love. Impressive twists and turns, yet the emphasis felt more on a revenge-driven story entangled with dirty politics. #Maharani.”

Many also praised Huma Qureshi and Amit Sial’s performances in the series, with one stating, “#MaharaniSeason3 is a must watch web series. In the digital realm, sustaining the magic of the first season is subsequent ones is challenging. #Maharani3 achieves it brilliantly-more drama, politics, and powerful acting. #HumaQureshi and #AmitSial steal the show, making this Maharani here to rule for long.”

A fan expressed, “Certain actors elevate a project with their performance, and that’s precisely what @Humaqureshi does in #MaharaniSeason3. Watch the series for Huma as she reaffirms her brilliance as a performer. Rani Bharti ki Jai Ho! #HumaQureshi #Maharani3.”

A fan expressed their admiration for Amit’s costumes in the series on X, stating, “MaharaniSeason3-A delightful watch! Absolutely loved the work of the #CostumeDesigner, especially for Naveen Babu in Episode 5, which added that extra touch to the series. It’s worth it-go for it.”

“Maharani,” crafted by Subhash Kapoor and guided by the directorial vision of Saurabh Bhave, credits its script to Subhash Kapoor, Nandan Singh, and Umashankar Singh. Boasting an ensemble cast featuring Vineet Kumar, Pramod Pathak, Kani Kusruti, Anuja Sathe, Sushil Pandey, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and Sohum Shah, the series made its debut on SonyLIV on March 7th.
