Director Nag Ashwin’s upcoming film, “Kalki” 2898 AD, “featuring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, is in its final stages of production. Set to release on May 9, the star-studded cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan, and Disha Patani in prominent roles.
The film’s producers, Vyjayanthi Movies, took to Instagram and Twitter to treat fans with an exciting update. Alongside a group snapshot featuring Prabhas, Nag, and the film crew, they exclaimed, “Let the fun begin in Italy!” In the snapshot, Prabhas and the team radiate joy as they embark on their Italian adventure. In another charming image captioned, “Capturing Darling Moments: Italy diaries ft. #Prabhas & @DishPatani.” Disha can be seen capturing a candid moment as Prabhas strikes a pose for her.

Simultaneously, the film’s shooting and post-production are in progress to meet the impending deadline. The majority of filming is complete, with only a few songs and patchwork scenes remaining. Deepika Padukone, who recently announced her pregnancy, has concluded her parts in the film. Despite an injury sustained during a stunt in March last year, Amitabh Bachchan resiliently returned to the sets post-recovery, overcoming a broken rib cartilage and a muscle tear, as detailed in his blog post. Kamal Haasan joined the film’s team in June last year.
Kalki 2898 AD takes viewers on an extraordinary voyage across millennia, bridging the ancient saga of the Mahabharata in 3101 BCE to the futuristic realm of 2898 AD.
