Rani Bharti's Academic Ambitions Unleash New Drama in Maharani Season 3

Huma Qureshi reprises her role as Maharani, also known as Rani Bharti, in Season 3, having successfully passed her Class XII exams. In the official teaser video released by Sony LIV on Tuesday, Rani Bharti, portrayed by Huma Qureshi, pledges to make life difficult for her adversaries.

The teaser begins with Amit Sial’s character, Navin Kumar, visiting prisoners in jail. One of the inmates offers him sweets, but he declines upon learning that the sweets are being distributed by Raniji to celebrate her success in the intermediate exams. The scene then transitions to Rani Bharti stepping out of a police van, accompanied by her voiceover cautioning her corrupt adversaries to be wary of her comeback.

The streaming platform captioned the Instagram video with, “Pareeksha ki tayyari hai jaari Phir aa rahi hai #Maharani” (The preparation for exams is underway as Maharani returns for the new season).

Subhash Kapoor serves as the creator of Maharani, while Saurabh Bhave takes the directorial reins. The show’s writing credits go to Subhash Kapoor, Nandan Singh, and Umashankar Singh. The stellar cast includes Vineet Kumar, Pramod Pathak, Kani Kusruti, Anuja Sathe, Sushil Pandey, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and Sohum Shah.

Huma portrays a character who, initially a school dropout, undergoes a profound transformation when her husband, the chief minister, is imprisoned. Consequently, she ascends to lead the state government. In Season 3, she makes a comeback having successfully completed her school education and is now gearing up to pursue her graduation. The series draws inspiration from actual events, portraying the aftermath of Rabri Devi succeeding Lalu Prasad Yadav as Bihar’s chief minister.

The filming for the third installment of Maharani concluded in October of last year, as announced by the production house Kangra Talkies on Instagram. They shared behind-the-scenes pictures from the set of this political series. Maharani Season 3 will soon be available for streaming on Sony Liv.
