On Monday, the film’s team unveiled the highly anticipated trailer for “Fighter,” featuring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor. As expected, the trailer showcased gripping aerial action sequences, heightening the excitement surrounding the movie.
Hrithik Roshan’s character, Patty, and Deepika Padukone’s character, Minni, belong to a unique cohort of Indian Air Force pilots. In Siddharth Anand’s “Fighter,” they play pivotal roles in initiating a retaliatory airstrike in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The three-minute-nine-second-long video highlights intense aerial battle sequences, reminiscent of iconic scenes from Tom Cruise’s Top Gun movies.
The trailer pledges a patriotic cinematic experience, drawing inspiration from the valiant efforts of Indian combat aviators who entered the airspace of the neighboring country following the 26/11 terrorist attack in Mumbai and the 2019 Pulwama attack in Kashmir.
Amid escalating militant activities in the Srinagar Valley, the Air Headquarters has commissioned a new elite unit known as the Air Dragons. This unit, positioned as the primary responders to any hostile activity, consists of the finest combat aviators selected from across the Indian Air Force. “Fighter” unfolds as the narrative of the Air Dragons, a group dedicated to giving their utmost for the nation, navigating through the peaks and valleys of both internal and external battles.
In the initial comprehensive preview of the aerial action film, Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania (played by Hrithik), Squadron Leader Minal Rathore (played by Deepika), and Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh (played by Anil Kapoor), along with their distinguished Indian Air Force (IAF) unit, showcase unwavering dedication to the nation. The film, predominantly filmed at Indian air bases using authentic Sukhois and Indian fighter planes, provides a genuine and immersive experience of their commitment and valor.
