After delivering a thunderous performance in the 2020 release Malang, the actor is back yet again with a bang. Aditya Roy Kapur has been bought on board to play the lead in the Hindi remake of Tamil action thriller Thadam.
For this yet-to-be-titled project, Aditya Roy Kapur will get under the skin of Arun Vijay’s Thadam character from Thadam.
The actor seems to be highly elevated for his next project. Based on true events, Aditya will be caught playing a double role in a completely different avatar in this remake.

Bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani, the film is going to be helmed by debutant director Vardhan Ketkar. The duo has been on roll as they are set on a mission to create great stories. After the huge success of Kabir Singh, the producer duo announced several other projects including Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Sandeep Vanga directorial Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor. With Thadam, they will increase the reach of such a brilliant story among all the moviegoers.
Released in 2019, the story of Tamil action thriller Thadam revolves around a murder mystery. As the synopsis suggests, during the investigation of a man’s murder, the police find two probable suspects, who look alike but do not know each other. However, the case gets complicated when new facts get unravelled.
Aditya Roy Kapur is currently working on Kapil Verma directorial OM that also stars Sanjana Sanghi in lead, opposite to him. After the actor wraps up for this project, he will soon start filming for untitled remake of Thadam. As per buzz, the shooting for film is tentatively planned to go on floors in September this year.
