Rohit Saraf took to Instagram on Monday to announce the completion of filming for the third season of their Netflix series Mismatched, sharing a set of pictures with co-star Prajakta Kohli. He captioned the post, “Until next time.. #MismatchedS03 Season Wrap.”
Akarsh Khurana and Nipun Dharmadhikar direct the coming-of-age romantic drama Mismatched, based on Sandhya Menon’s novel “When Dimple Met Rishi.” Gazal Dhaliwal pens the series, where Rishi Singh Shekhawat (Rohit Saraf) falls for tech whiz Dimple Ahuja (Prajakta Kohli) in Season 1. The season concludes with Dimple accusing Rishi of leaking her app’s details, leading to their breakup and Dimple impulsively kissing project partner Harsh (Vihaan Samat).
In Season 2, Dimple (Prajakta) feels remorseful about the kiss and seeks to reconcile with Rishi (Rohit). Their reunion leads to a coffee mishap reminiscent of their first encounter in Season 1. Both explore other relationships before realizing their enduring love for each other.
The teaser for Mismatched Season 3, released earlier this year, showcases the electrifying chemistry between Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf, highlighting themes of lost love and renewed friendships with depth and emotion.
In addition to Rohit Saraf and Prajakta Kohli, the upcoming season of Mismatched features Ranvijay Singh, Vidya Malvade, Vihaan Samat, Devyani Shorey, Priya Banerjee, Taaruk Raina, Muskkaan Jaferi, Akarsh Khurana, and Ahsaas Channa in pivotal roles.
The “The Sky is Pink” actor also posted behind-the-scenes pictures and videos on his Instagram story from the wrap party of Mismatched Season 3 after wrapping up the shoot.
Produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies, the first season of Mismatched premiered on Netflix on November 20, 2020, followed by Season 2 on October 14, 2022. The release date for the third season is yet to be announced.
Rohit Saraf’s upcoming project is the romantic comedy “Ishq Vishk: Rebound,” a sequel to Shahid Kapoor’s 2003 film “Ishq Vishk,” scheduled to release on June 28.
